Growing notes

These kits love temps between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit and at least 6 hours of bright direct sunlight. A south or west-facing window is ideal. Starting your kit between March and September usually gives the strongest natural light, but a simple grow light works great in darker months too.

If sprouts do not pop up in 10 to 14 days, seeds may be too deep, the medium may be too dry or too wet, or temps may be too cool. In dry climates or chilly seasons, you can create a greenhouse effect by sliding the empty grow medium bag over the can, poking a few holes for airflow, and removing it once sprouts are about 2 inches tall.
