Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Warehouse Associates are responsible for receiving and accounting for merchandise as it arrives in the warehouse, tagging, and shipping merchandise to Mexicali Blues store locations. The warehouse associate is also responsible for back stocking inventory in the warehouse and general inventory maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check Invoices against physical shipment quantities
• Send merchandise to stores
• Receive merchandise from stores and vendors
• Tag merchandise
• Stock warehouse shelves using locational technology
• Take physical inventory of merchandise
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to Assistant Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Manager
• Respond to store special requests
• Assist with web fulfillment as needed
• Keep a clean and organized work space

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modeling for website and marketing
• May be asked to cover for store shifts

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand (up to 10 hours in a day) and walk frequently; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; frequently required to speak and hear, including on a telephone; occasionally uses hands to operate a standard computer keyboard, use a computer, mouse, fax machine, printer and copier. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work occurs primarily in the warehouse environment. Closed toed shoes are required for safety.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:

• Strong organizational skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Basic arithmetic

Solid reasoning skills

Education/Knowledge Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Basic computer know-how and familiarity with common business applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, POS systems, etc.), warehouse experience preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
