September 27th is World Tourism Day! There are millions of people experiencing the magic of travel right now, and this day calls attention to the many ways travel can change our lives and lift up communities. The 2018 theme is Tourism and Digital Transformation. As digital advances transform how we connect and inform ourselves, this year's World Tourism Day is dedicated to exploring the opportunities that technological advancement can provide, to improve the way we travel and empower local communities.
We can't help but think about the way technology has influenced the way that we at Mexicali Blues travel, and have been sharing the adventure with you. We've spent the last 30 years traveling to far-off lands and bringing back the wonders that we find there to share with our friends and customers. As we've evolved, we've learned that you love learning where our products come from, how they're made, and the relationships that are behind our global goods. We've been exploring all the ways that modern technology allows us to take you vicariously along on the journey with us, through blogging, photos and videos shared on Facebook, and real-time behind-the-scenes peeks on Instagram stories (@mexicaliblues).
