Everything has been building toward this.
Two weeks ago we planted in the dark of the New Moon. Last week we made our commitments at the First Quarter. Now the Moon swells toward her fullness, growing brighter and rounder with each passing night, and by Friday she arrives at her peak — the Flower Moon, May's luminous Full Moon, named for the blossoming that erupts across the earth this time of year.
This is a week of amplification. What you have been tending is becoming visible. What you have been feeling is becoming undeniable. The Waxing Gibbous phase asks us to refine, to prepare, to tie up the loose ends before the light peaks and pours everything into the open.
Cosmic Toolkit
Moon Phase: Waxing Gibbous → Flower Full Moon (Friday, May 1) The Waxing Gibbous is the final stretch before fullness — an energy of focused refinement and gathering excitement. By Friday, the Full Moon illuminates everything. Feel it.
Herb of the Week: Rose The flower of opening and of love in all its forms. Rose supports the heart's capacity to receive — to let in what the Full Moon is trying to show you. Drink it as a tea, wear it as an oil, or simply bring fresh flowers into your home this week.
Crystal Ally: Moonstone There is no more fitting stone for a Full Moon week. Moonstone amplifies intuition, emotional awareness, and the quiet wisdom that arrives when we stop striving and simply allow. Hold it under the Full Moon's light on Friday night.
Elemental Focus: Water + Earth The Flower Moon is lush and fertile. Water brings emotion and flow; earth brings form and abundance. Let feelings move freely this week — they are information, not obstacles.
A Closer Look at the Week Ahead
Sunday, April 26 The week opens with the Moon already bright and full of momentum. There is an urgency in the air — not anxious urgency, but the kind that belongs to something that is almost ready. Notice what is nearly finished, nearly said, nearly begun.
Monday, April 27 A good day to tend what you have already started rather than adding anything new. The Gibbous Moon rewards focus and refinement. What needs one more pass of your attention before the Full Moon arrives?
Tuesday, April 28 Midweek brings a sense of heightened feeling. Emotions may run close to the surface — this is the Moon drawing things up and out in preparation for Friday's fullness. Let what is ready to be felt, be felt.
Wednesday, April 29 The Moon grows fuller still. If something in your life has been quietly asking to be acknowledged — a truth, a need, a longing — it will be harder to look away from it today. This is a gift, not a disruption.
Thursday, April 30 The eve of the Full Moon. The sky is luminous and the inner world matches it. Take some time tonight to sit with what this lunar cycle has asked of you. What did you plant? What has grown? What are you grateful for?
Friday, May 1 — Flower Full Moon She is here. Step outside tonight and let the Full Moon find you. This is the moment of culmination — the peak of the cycle's energy, the full illumination of what has been building. Celebrate what has bloomed. Honor what is complete. Release with gratitude what has run its course.
Saturday, May 2 The first day of the waning cycle. The Moon begins to soften her light, and so can you. There is nothing more to push toward this week — only to receive what the Full Moon has revealed and let it settle gently into your bones.
Relational Spellwork
Full Moon Flower Offering (Friday) Gather any flowers available to you — from your garden, a field, a grocery store, it doesn't matter. Place them somewhere meaningful: your altar, your table, your windowsill. Let them be your offering to the season and to what has bloomed in your own life this cycle.
Full Moon Mirror Practice On Friday night, stand before a mirror in candlelight or moonlight. Look at yourself without judgment. Say aloud: I see what I have grown. I honor what I have become. This is not vanity — it is witnessing. The Full Moon asks us to be seen, even by ourselves.
The Gratitude Release As the Moon begins to wane on Saturday, write down two things: one thing you are grateful this cycle brought, and one thing you are ready to release now that the peak has passed. Fold the paper and place it under a candle. Let gratitude and release exist side by side — they always do.
Everything you have been tending is ready to bloom. Let it.
