Tempestuous Times and Incredible Winds of Change

These are the kinds of blistering aspects that shape not just our personal lives, but the zeitgeist of the world. We experience a Mars-Uranus square sporadically every 6-14 months, but in these fixed signs and at such critical degrees we should expect some unrest, especially with the social planets in an additional square of similar volatility. The winds are blowing strong and fanning flames we can find it hard to escape from. Stubborn pompous displays of ego-driven ideologies are mixed with unchecked emotional bravado and aggressive authoritarian tactics. These two major squares can instigate dangerous scenarios across the world, perhaps igniting violent conflicts between clashing ideologies. We should not be surprised if a manmade eruption of force is unleashed.

These squares, while likely most noticeable on the world stage, are also affecting our personal lives in hopefully much less harsh and aggressive ways. Most notably, we are probably going to notice them by way of increased stress and aggravating clashes with others. Stubborn egos will be the primary cause of any conflicts, so because we are all armored with at least some ego-protecting inflexibility, maybe it would behoove all of us to check our convictions and expectations at the door in order to open our hearts to what may be and what others may conceive. The stark shades of trouble are darkening the skies today, so however we can channel our inner sunshine to brighten the world around us would be absolutely ideal.

The ideals we seek are so often undermined by the heavy weight of tradition, societal conditioning, and the inflexibility of others around us. Building a brighter and more fortunate and sustainable future should be at the forefront of our consciousness, and we should be as mindful as possible in dealing with those around us who might attempt to thwart that endeavor. How do we reconcile the stubborn and aggressive lot that seeks to disarm our bold tenacity to carry out such ideals? We can start by exercising peace and compassion towards them. We all learn by example, and when others witness the possibly perplexing paradox of our serenity and fortitude, perhaps they will notice how good it feels to be strong and kind and helpful. There is a quiet sacredness in what unfolds today. Let’s embrace that spirit with our spirits.

With Mars ingressing Virgo, perhaps we can begin to lay down our weapons that have been unsheathed to protect our fragile egos and start making reparations to fix what is sorely in need of repair. Mars in Leo can get quite inflated and lose sight of what is best for others. The selfishness of such a placement can do serious damage to the otherwise peaceful path of those around us. But as it enters the refining and discerning sign of Virgo, we can hope those displays of machismo and egomania begin to quell and awaken to their selfish battering behaviors. There is ample support from the peaceful and inclusive Pisces Moon and its typically harmonious aspects with Venus and Mercury. May these supporting and compassionate geometries instill more love and gratitude into our lives and help provide hope for whatever tension and turmoil we are experiencing at this time.

The transitional metamorphoses that we undergo to open doors to brighter futures often are colored by what we struggle to let go of. How do we live without what has led us to this day? This is when we learn how to make peace with the force and trust that it will guide us through whatever may lie ahead. “Something new is waiting to be born.” (Robert Hunter) If we peer penetratingly into the midday skies today, we might catch a glimpse of a cloudy hand pointing us where we need to go. The omnipresence of the force, the Great Spirit, God, seeks to awaken our own spirits to its tranquility that already courses through our entire beings. All we have to do is let go and have faith that we survive the path ahead with all we have learned and grown equipped to handle after all these years. This is not giving up, it is persevering through divine guidance and embracing the joy in its presence.

Though on paper (or screen) it may appear this is a sort of reprieve of a day, the developments of the past week are still quite pervasive today. The Aries Moon is rife with anticipation for action and even careless aggression. We have to steady our hearts and quiet our minds if there is to be any semblance of calm and tactical peace. It is an ideal day to exercise our capacity to resist careless and knee-jerk decisions, even if they seem like good ones. Discernment is a challenge during Aries Moons, but if we can accomplish such a feat in all we do, we will be that much more equipped to apply heart-centered thoughtfulness to our decisions in the future. That said, what we do decide to DO today can probably be carried out thoroughly and creatively, as long as we remain aware of what we are doing and why.

Did we cross someone yesterday? Is it coming back to haunt us today? Maybe we acted carelessly and upset someone, or maybe someone did so to us. The lessons are likely plain to see if this is the case. The pages continue to turn through this page-turner of a tome we are living. Where have we thoroughly grown and transformed our lives through painful experiences that were endured in the past? These sensitive places in our fragile souls are like delicate jewels that radiate the brilliance we learned. They are beacons infused with Sun’s northernmost illumination of the June solstice. There is a sanctity in this annual cycle between Sun and Earth, and we are here to witness it once more. How bright can we envision our future to be? May the long bright days of this northern solstice infuse its divine light in the darkness that shrouds so many corners of this suffering world.

What is our heading? Is there a beacon to lead us where we need to go? Can we see it up ahead, or do we need to look elsewhere? These directional queries should be asked deep within our emotional bodies. Certain electrical transmissions are permeating the watery reservoirs of our intuition, so if we can retreat and make time for introspection today, we may develop a more lucid vision of exactly where our own personal beacon is on the horizon. The unknowable force of the universe is at least knowable in our hearts, and this is where we need to center our attention to discover the incredibly exciting trails that await our footsteps.
