Something Sweet is Almost Ready

You can feel it, can't you?

That particular quality of anticipation that arrives when something you have been tending is almost — almost — ready. Not quite yet. But close enough that you can sense it coming, the way you can smell rain before it falls or taste summer before it fully arrives.

The Strawberry Moon rises on Monday, June 29. And this entire week is her runway.

We open Sunday on the First Quarter Moon — that bright, committed, half-lit hinge where the lunar cycle asks us to stop wandering and start deciding. And this Sunday carries a double charge: it is also the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, and the moment the Sun crosses into Cancer. The sky is asking a great deal of us on Sunday. It is asking us to commit, to celebrate, and to come home — all at once.

Cancer season arrives like a hand on your shoulder. It does not push you forward. It draws you inward, toward what matters most — toward home, toward the people you love, toward the tender and unhurried business of nourishment. After Gemini's quick, curious, electric energy, Cancer asks: yes, but how does it feel? This is the sign of the Moon herself, and under Cancer's long summer light, the emotional world is not something to be managed or explained. It is something to be lived in, fully and without apology.

Then all week long the Moon swells through the Waxing Gibbous, growing rounder and more luminous with every passing night. By Saturday she is nearly full, hanging enormous and golden in the summer sky, and everything that has been quietly growing since the New Moon is preparing to ripen.

This is not a week for hesitation. The fruit is almost ready. Be there when it falls.

Cosmic Toolkit

Moon Phase: First Quarter (Sunday, June 21) → Waxing Gibbous all week → Strawberry Full Moon approaching (Monday, June 29) The Waxing Gibbous is the phase of focused refinement and gathering momentum. Everything you do this week in service of your intention is amplified. The Strawberry Full Moon is eight days away — arrive at her ready to receive.

Herb of the Week: Red Clover Sweet, abundant, and deeply connected to the energy of summer's ripening. Red clover supports the heart's capacity to receive what it has worked for — to allow in the sweetness without deflecting it. Drink it as a tea this week, slowly and with intention.

Crystal Ally: Sunstone Warm, radiant, and expansive — sunstone carries the energy of summer's peak and the confidence of someone who knows their own worth. Keep it close this week as a reminder that you are allowed to want what you want, and to receive it fully when it arrives.

Elemental Focus: Fire + Water The Solstice brings fire — the peak of solar power, the longest light, the full blaze of summer. Cancer brings water — feeling, depth, the tidal pull of the heart. Let these elements work together this week rather than against each other. The most powerful things are often built at the meeting place of heat and feeling.

A Closer Look at the Week Ahead

Sunday, June 21 — First Quarter Moon, Summer Solstice & Cancer Season Begins Three thresholds arrive on the same day — a rare and extraordinary convergence. The Solstice marks the peak of solar light and the official arrival of summer. Cancer season begins, drawing our awareness toward home, family, and the emotional foundations of our lives. And the First Quarter Moon asks for commitment — a clear, honest decision about where your energy is going this lunar cycle. Take all three seriously today. Stand in your light. Feel what matters. Choose.

Monday, June 22 The first full day of Cancer season, and the Waxing Gibbous begins. The energy shifts into something richer, warmer, more domestic and deeply felt. You may find yourself drawn toward home today — toward nesting, tending, feeding, being fed. Follow that instinct. Cancer knows something Gemini was too busy to notice.

Tuesday, June 23 A powerful day for focused, heart-led effort. The Gibbous Moon rewards those who bring their full attention to what they are building. Under Cancer season's influence, ask not only is this good work but does this work nourish me? Refinement that comes from the heart lands differently than refinement that comes from the head alone.

Wednesday, June 24 Midweek arrives in a warm, luminous haze. The Moon is bright enough now to cast shadows at night, and emotions may run close to the surface. Cancer season amplifies this — the water is deep and the feelings are real. This is not a disruption. It is an invitation to take your inner life as seriously as your outer one.

Thursday, June 25 The week finds its stride. Something that has been forming since the New Moon is becoming increasingly visible — to you and possibly to others. Under Cancer's tender, perceptive gaze, you may also find that what you have been growing matters more than you initially let yourself believe. Let it matter.

Friday, June 26 The Moon is enormous and bright in the evening sky. Take some time tonight to look at her — really look. She is almost full. The week has moved quickly and richly, the way summer weeks do. What has this Cancer season already stirred in you, just a few days in?

Saturday, June 27 Two nights before the Strawberry Full Moon. The anticipation is palpable. Prepare your space, your heart, and your intentions for what is coming. Gather flowers, light candles, set a beautiful table — Cancer season asks us to tend our spaces as devotional acts. The Strawberry Moon loves beauty, abundance, and the sweet evidence of summer fully arrived.

Relational Spellwork

Cancer Season Homecoming Cancer is the sign of home in its deepest sense — not just the place you live, but the people and the feelings that make you feel held. This week, do one thing that tends the home of your heart. Cook a meal for someone you love. Call the person whose voice you have been missing. Create a corner of your space that feels genuinely restorative. These are not small acts under Cancer's sky. They are the whole point.

Solstice & First Quarter Commitment (Sunday) On this triply powerful Sunday, write down one commitment — to yourself, to someone you love, to the life you are building. Not a wish. A commitment. Something you are willing to show up for in the weeks ahead. The Solstice will hold it in the light. Cancer season will hold it in the heart.

Waxing Gibbous Abundance Practice Each evening this week, name one thing that is growing well in your life — one place where your tending has paid off, however quietly. Cancer season makes this practice especially potent, because it asks us to count the emotional and relational harvests alongside the practical ones. The meal shared. The conversation that went deep. The moment of genuine belonging. These are the sweetest fruit of all.

Something sweet is almost ready. Stay close. Don't look away.
