This is a week that leads to important and transformative shifts in our lives. Whatever new beginnings or ventures we wish to put in place and embark upon should be carefully thought through and patiently crafted until the ripe time, which is not exactly on the New Moon on Friday, but after next Monday when Sun ingresses Gemini. By then, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and Pluto will all be in new signs, allowing for the new journeys to begin! It is a worthy week to get excited for what lies ahead, we just need to not force it.

Today we are checking our bags so we can lighten our load and prepare for takeoff. The creative inspirations and musings that squeak their way through the cracks in the ether help alleviate any feelings of stalling or stifling that stationing Mercury imposes upon us. Sunday’s are often good days to take it easy and let the winds blow us asunder, and this Sunday is no exception. In fact, putting away our calendars, clocks, and phones could unlock gems of unexpected inspiration if we open the windows and doors to our intuition and let the breeze design our day.
Mercury’s stationing signals a time to gather all we have reassessed and reconsidered over the past three weeks or more to begin to realign our lives again. While we may be excited to implement any new directions or endeavors, it would be good to allow another week to fully do so, after Jupiter, Mars, and Sun ingress new signs and Mercury picks up more speed in its forward direction.

Waking to Moon’s fresh ingress into Aries charges us with desires, ambitions, and determination to go, do, and get what we want, but the resounding watery influences of Pisces and Cancer blanket us with emotional patience and a reminder that time can work to our advantage if we allow it to unfold our deepest desires with greater understanding and commitment. Sometimes our impulsive drive and determination lands us in situations where we recognize how much more successful our mission could have been had we thought and felt it through thoroughly before acting.
It would not hurt to spend a good part of the day in our own space contemplating what we want to do and how we want to do it, being mindful not to give up on the exciting future that awaits us. The cycles around us are shifting in the days approaching, promising directions and adventures we may have dreamed about over the past few months.

After a long stretch of glimpses and reminders of wounds and traumas we endured in our past, the initiative to parlay them into glorious tools of redemption surfaces today. Though we cannot expect to conquer and transform all our trauma into shining beacons of hope, there are evidential redeeming spires emerging from within that point to the limitless skies above. It is part of our work to notice, nurture, and harvest the fruits of those years of resilient suffering and confusion.
Jupiter’s ingress into Taurus can manifest abundance in myriad ways if we remain open and willing to seek what is best for us. This includes self-confidence, sustainability, self-sufficiency, financial growth, and an incredibly expansive appreciation for beauty, affection, sensuality, and creativity. Our vessels of consciousness expand to accept and accommodate the spiritual blessings we may have bypassed until now. This is a time to honor and stimulate our bodies and senses in new and exciting ways in order to experience the expansive potential of existence.

We could gain much more clarity through self-analyzing our motives, intentions, and visions for our future. The grounding presence of Moon transiting so many celestial bodies in earthy Taurus beckons us to recognize the value of physically manifesting our spiritual goals and ideals by embodying joy and abundance. This can be through physical activity, meditation, yoga, or any form of experiencing our divinity within our bodies.

Expressing our spiritual aspirations through meaningful and physical affection, sensual experiences, and especially creativity inspires us to manifest something out of thin air today. Our ideals are teeming through our mind’s eye and showing us how to bring them forth into the light of day. What can we do to make things better for ourselves and those we love and care about? What advancements can we make toward a more sustainable future with abundant blessings for our friends and communities?
Driving the proverbial bus through the reaches of places we never knew existed can show us all the places, people, and things we have never seen, met, or done before. This process can spark inspiration to move us brightly, alighting our path with senses and colors that help hold away despair. We should not need to ask for more than this.

We might be learning how to reach for creative new foundations to build upon as we embark on a new lunation today. Educating ourselves on the benefits of self-discipline, tactful efforts toward personal achievement and self-sufficiency, and grounding the perhaps lofty ideals and spiritual aspirations that rose to the surface recently are all means to enjoying life and striking a new match to go start anew. While some things may feel like they’re over and done with, new things appear suddenly to replace them.
Birthing opportunities through positive reinforcement is one sure way to attract abundance and security into our lives. With so much change and transformation plowing through our lives, it is no wonder we are emotionally exhausted and praying for a break in the madness. But that madness may need an encore to close out its epic world tour.
While the New Moon is generally a good time to set new intentions and start new endeavors, it might be a good idea to wait until after the 21st to act upon those intentions, once Mars ingresses into Leo (May 20th) and Sun ingresses into Gemini (May 21st).

Mars ingresses Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius (and square Jupiter)
There is a revitalized excitement and zest for life blowing in that can be enormously transformative and unlike any other excitable shift we have felt before. Our passions and motivations will likely be amplified by an unabashed determination and confidence to show the world who we are, what we do, and how we do it. Our creative lakes, ponds, and rivers could be overflowing into the streets and fields of our dreams, enticing us to express our authenticity and individuality with all the flair we can muster.
Pluto’s opposition to Mars and Jupiter’s square to them both can create tension or stress in our bodies by way of our nervous system, but their influence otherwise is a powerful generator of potential. What that potential is, however, may be up to each one of us to determine. Needless to say this activation can be extremely transformative and life-changing, and one we may all look back on in years to come.
A week that builds to powerful shifts in our lives can be daunting and stressful, but the release of painful and stagnant remnants from the past can be such a relief and so incredibly decompressing that we welcome the changes and births occurring in our lives. Being patient, strategic, and intelligent about implementing changes and embarking on new ventures should be exercised for greatest success. This means waiting for planets to shift into new signs, Mercury to be speedily back on its direct course, and Moon to be waxing again. Patience breeds patience.
