We could be feeling unusually open to the requests or decisions our loved ones have proposed to us. As we gear up for tomorrow’s Full Moon in Libra, Mercury first needs to show us how to unravel the mysterious overwhelm impacting our workload. The grounding effects of its placement in Taurus can help facilitate a sense of direction and purpose that might otherwise feel lacking in our lives right now. As I have mentioned before, Mercury in Taurus helps steady our thoughts and methods of communicating so that we can absorb and better understand anything that seems confusing. It’s like a tugboat guiding us safely into the harbor through the abominable fog and mist so we can feel the glorious earth beneath our feet again.
As the day wanes on, we could be feeling a need to face any residual pain from past traumas in our life. As unbearable as that may sound, even acknowledging any suffering we experienced in the past can bring us that much closer to liberating ourselves from psychological and emotional blockages that have been in place for a long time. And if we feel we have triumphed over much of our trauma in life, it could be that we will find ourselves consoling or bringing healing to someone who has not in some way today.

The impact of this Full Moon in Libra is colored by the theme of past trauma mentioned earlier. It could be that we feel inclined to confide in someone close to us to rehash experiences we have suffered through in the past to help unload the heavy weight of those burdens we have carried around for so long. A Full Moon reflects the light of the Sun and the sign it is in, so we are feeling the drive and passion of the Aries Sun, which wants us to stand up for ourselves and fight through the mire of emotional pain until we are free from it. Most importantly, if we know someone who is compassionate and willing to create a safe space for us, we can feel much less afraid to speak our truth.
Adding to the potential for emotional breakthroughs during this Full Moon, Mercury’s conjunction to Moon’s North Node in Taurus acts as a beacon towards our ideal destination of triumphant self-confidence, renewal, and sustainability. All the challenges that have piled up in our lives can be met with a determination to conquer them and come out singing our melodious hymns to the world.

The reflections of yesterday’s Full Moon in Libra are now rooting themselves down into the core of our psyche and emotional body, percolating and encouraging us to meditate upon exactly where we go from here. The shroud over our past can be peeled back to reveal pains that have hopefully now been accepted as necessary experiences on our path to redemption. The journey through our own proverbial dark night of the soul amplifies the trust that is imperative to reemerge redeemed in the golden light of dawn.
Working through these activations today can humble us and remind us that we are humans surviving the gauntlet that is life. Nobody told us there would be days like these. Nobody can escape the experiences of trauma, loss, death, or fear. But because of these truths, we develop an innate capacity to empathize and help others through their own suffering and healing. Decompressing from an early morning sextile between Mercury and Mars that has likely instilled a heaping desire for nurturing, comfort, and security into our lives, we may feel a little more kind and compassionate than usual today. Embracing that accentuated kindness can work miracles for those who are in desperate need of it. The turning of the great wheels surrounding us are always encouraging love and redemption to trump fear and desolation. It is when we resist that encouragement that we stumble into darkness.
Climbing out of the turbulent tides of confusion, sorrow, and defeat requires faith in the future.
