October 15-21, 2023
This is a week of finding deeper resonance between ourselves and others. The differences will always scream out at us, but the similarities help bring us together to relate more purely from our hearts. What we don’t understand about someone else can be expressed and communicated quite succinctly this week, so if we remain open in our hearts to them sharing their plight and frustrations, we are bound to cover just a little more ground. Turning the page on how we relate is always a challenge, but never not worth it!

Moon in Scorpio trine Saturn in Pisces
Moon conjunct Mars in Scorpio
Moon in Scorpio sextile Venus in Virgo
There is a powerful reprise of new beginnings today, carrying forward yesterday’s New Moon Solar Eclipse energy into Scorpio. This takes the relational aspects of Libra into deeper territory so that we can find greater understanding and rejuvenate our journey as if being born anew. The intensity can be palpable and passionate, perhaps even tainted with aggression, but there is a formidable drive that can instigate changes we either want to make or didn’t know we need to make.
Working with these influences can be challenging and dark, but the regeneration is worth the expenditure of our energy. Later in the day, we find ourselves face to face with the important facets of our relationships that need mending. Perhaps we are afraid to address any remaining secrets that have yet to be disclosed. If this is the case, our future will thank us indelibly if we harness the courage available today to bring them all to light.

Moon in Scorpio opposite Jupiter in Taurus
After diving into the fathomless waters of yesterday’s cleansing rebirth, we are addressing the values and sustainability of our path ahead today. Do we know how to viably align our resources with our passions and desires to bring about the changes we want to see unfold for us? Are we contending with a partner who sees these changes differently? Through all the trying times that have garnered growth in the past, we came through them stronger and more capable of understanding what we want. May we communicate what we have learned with those who need to know so that we can emerge with abundant opportunity!

Life can of course be regarded as a series of challenges, but it can also be perceived as a series of opportunities. This was likely imbued upon us yesterday somehow, but today might remind us that it can be a give and take. The balance of understanding how challenges reap opportunities can help motivate us into believing in the power of determination.
Sowing requires not just action and courage, but sincere knowledge of what we desire to manifest. Once we determine that, we can set out to put it all in motion. But the seeking and striving must be accompanied by inspiration or there will be no motivation. There is a tension today that motivates us to bring forth deeper spiritual understanding and purpose into our lives. This can bolster a passionate interest to build a new foundation that helps us reunite with our divinity.

Moon in Sagittarius square Venus in Virgo
Sun conjunct Moon’s South Node in Libra
Moon in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries
We can feel a pull today between expanding our horizons into the great wide open and reeling in the excesses that hinder the refinement of our values and functionality. This is a pull between expansion and contraction. We may wish to drive up into the mountains or out into the desert for expansive inspiration, but staying home to clean up the house and make our surroundings more harmonious and beautiful is gnawing at us. While not a terrible conflict by any means, we are nevertheless bound to be torn between a similar dilemma.
Our inclination to slip back into familiar norms and acquiescence to others for the sake of peace and harmony could determine whether or not we get our way or not. Our challenge is to notice how true we are being to ourselves, if at all. Did we just commit to something we cannot undo? Perhaps we should take enough time to think through the choices in front of us before we commit to anything whatsoever, and in that pondering, consider our own feelings and needs. Has our suffering been justified? How do we reconcile our needs without acquiescing to others?

Mercury conjunct Moon’s South Node in Libra
Moon in Sagittarius sextile Mercury in Libra and square Neptune in Pisces
Moon in Capricorn sextile Saturn in Pisces
Communication is yielding toward familiarity and attachments today. We may want to talk to old familiar friends and talk about the good old days. Because there is a strong emphasis on expansive and spiritual matters, the conversations could veer that direction. We may find inspiration from others in ways that remind us of past incarnations, either literally or just experiences we had when we were younger. All of these potential conversations can lead to considering the practical implications of whatever comes out of them. We might inevitably lean a little delusional in our thoughts, but pragmatism can hopefully win the day!

Mercury conjunct Sun in Libra
Moon in Capricorn sextile Mars in Scorpio
Moon in Capricorn trine Venus in Virgo
Moon in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Taurus
Mercury in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn
A mighty array of aspects shape our day to be one of deep relational insight and release. We can find it in us to better understand one another and even feel much more inclined to share our thoughts and feelings. Mercury joining Sun in Libra in an exterior conjunction imparts an amplification of our capacity to communicate our most important issues with others, so meditating on this opportunity ahead of time can help drive the day in that beautiful direction.
Furthermore, we are blessed with the ability to firmly ground and root ourselves in matters of the heart. Our values and resources, and how we shape and manage them, play an enduring part in advancing us toward our goals. In short, much can be achieved and revealed today if we wake up on the right side of the bed. We just need to be careful that the agonizing losses and suffering we have experienced lately does not play a part in bringing others down. We just might put our foot in our mouths or overwhelm others with some version of our darkness.

Sun in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn
Moon in Capricorn trine Uranus in Taurus
Moon in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces
Moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn
We have been putting up with a strong Sun/Mercury – Pluto square these last two days, and though other aspects speak of relational progress, this inevitably brings challenges to the forefront. Where are we going? What kind of growth are we seeking, either in ourselves or from a partner? Other people can intrude upon our space and cross boundaries we don’t want crossed, but we can do this to others ourselves, so it would be healthy to respect all boundaries so we can make the progress that needs to be accomplished.
This is indeed the theme of yesterday and today, and one that should be implemented all the time. It’s just that times like these usually expose how those boundaries and challenges are playing out in our lives. Wishing for growth and progress is one thing, but implementing them in our daily lives, particularly in our relationships, takes tremendous diplomacy and compassion. It is not for the faint of heart to venture into the underworld of others without first venturing into our own. When we recognize there are skeletons beneath the surface of all our lives, we can truly hug it out and find peace and harmony, even if it is after deep and difficult conversations, which are bound to surface around this time.
Shaking it up and stirring the pot does not have to be quarrelsome. We can opt to shake it up together with the mutual intention to see what we find. Though this is not always easy or pretty, it reassures each person that the other wants to make things better, as long as truth and transparency are the most prevalent ingredients in the stew. While we make our way toward a more transpersonal week ahead, the effects of working through the deep, and often inspiring, milieu that has been tucked away can certainly improve our situations and relationships. After all, we are all just walking each other home.
