July 11th-July 17th: The Moon's Light as an Aphrodisiac 🌕

Jul 11, 2021

Now we are in the heart of the Cancer Season, gentle and protective of our innermost feelings, and overseen by lunar light. The Moon gathers all the starlight of the Universe and pours it down to Earth.

In these light waves, high wisdom comes as sweet honey to our souls. Having just merged with the Sun on the 9th, the Moon pulls away, spreading a fecund aromatic bower over the pairing of Mars and Venus in romantic Leo on the 13th. All the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, whether by sun or rising, will be feeling the Moon's light as a Summer aphrodisiac for the whole lunar cycle… a gift from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess who tends our fertility and sense of beauty.

While Venus and Mars lose themselves in Midsummer dreams, the great powers of Sun and Pluto oppose each other in a spirited debate on weighty topics: the essence of being and the multivalent implications of individual consciousness, the revolution in gender identity, a Cancer/Capricorn topic, and everything regarding the evolution of the Self.  The cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn will attend the spirited discussion, bringing their various perspectives.

The lunar cycle reaches its first quarter square this week in Libra. Carrying her message of care and concern from Cancer, she arrives at 90 degrees from the new moon.  Action is called for. What relationships need our attention, which social situations require thoughtful action to achieve a better equilibrium?

From here on the Moon weaves a tableau that will be revealed for viewing at the full moon on the 24th of July in the sign of  social awakening, Aquarius. Saturn greets her there to stabilize her journey and offer teachings on ways to imagine our future. Families of frequency are forming. Find your tribe!
