Rock out and get an amazing workout--wherever you are--with a collapsible travel hula hoop!  Perfect for beginners and seasoned hoopers alike, these cool handmade hoops are covered in a radiant rainbow of cloth gaffer's tape, to create a cool look and also create great grippiness for easier body hooping.  Made of sturdy PE tubing, these groovy travel hoops coil down into a figure-8 which can then be folded over for instant portability, ensuring that you can hoop happily anywhere you go!

To Collapse Hoop:

Position hoop with joints at the top and bottom.
Grasp hoop on either side of the top joint. Place your foot on the bottom joint.
Push down and slightly away from your body. The hoop should begin to form a figure eight shape.
Fold one half of the hoop on top of the other and tuck one side in, to hold the collapse position.
To Open:
Unfold your hoop to form a figure eight shape.
Hold the hoop at the two joints and twist with the natural motion of the hoop. You my need to reform the hoop slightly to its round form.

PLEASE NOTE: Do Not store hoop in collapse position for extended periods of time. It may conform to that shape and be harder to reshape once open.

We travel the world to source unique and handmade items. Whether we find ourselves in Thailand, India, Indonesia, Peru, Guatemala or Nepal that journey feels magical—through forested volcanic mountains, across beautiful beaches and reefs, to stunning terraced rice fields, and through an amazing array of immersive experiences—festivals! dances! parades!—in incredibly warm and welcoming communities.

Mexicali Blues donates 1% of sales to organizations. The dollars you spend on handmade goods from our shop do a world of good here and in local communities abroad. We work hard to find organizations who value long term impacts- such as building schools, teaching skills, or improving community life.

Pete is proud of never bargaining the price he is given and always paying artisans for their skill and hard work. We see for ourselves how our goods are made and we work with the people who make them to keep items affordable for you and workshop wages fair for our artisans.

We forge long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with the artisans who handcraft our products. Pete and Kim have known many of our vendors for over a decade! Buying trips are chances to catch up with old friends and make new memories.
