Our handmade brass singing bowls sound beautiful and are easy to learn! These Tibetan singing bowls are perfect for sound healing, meditation, or relaxation. Singing bowls, otherwise known as prayer bowls, are actually a type of "standing bell." Rather than hanging inverted or attached to a handle, standing bells sit with the bottom surface resting. The sides and rim of singing bowls vibrate to produce sound, and today the best hand-made examples, such as these, come from Nepal.

Singing bowls can be played as instruments and produce a complex chord of harmonic overtones, and may also be played by striking with a soft mallet to produce a warm bell tone OR place the mallet on the outside of the bowl and make circles while pressing the mallet against the sides of the bowl. Before you know it, the bowl will sing its pleasant therapeutic frequency! As a rule of thumb, larger bowls tend to have deeper sonic pitches, but as they are handmade every tone is unique. Each hand pounded singing bowl comes with a wooden mallet and a pillow for your singing bowl to rest on.
