We're partnering with dZi Foundation again but this time it's to bring clean drinking water to Dhodeni, Nepal!
We love working with this foundation and have for many years. In 2015, Sotang, Solukhumbu, Nepal was ravaged by life threatening earthquakes that demolished all the schools and infrastructure. In 2018 we built schools with them in order to change the lives of students in this rural landscape. Our partnership with dZi Foundation helped to rebuild using materials that can withstand the force of these deadly earthquakes.
To the North of this rural municipality is another remote village: Dhodeni. Life here is beautiful but has it's hardships. The closest reliable water source is an hours walk uphill. This has an impact on every family living in the village of Dhodeni. Watch the video below to see the current routine of Hira Devi Bhattarai, a mother concerned about getting her children to school on time.
As seen here, clean water determines whether or not a meal can be made before bringing children to school, and an hour walk in the morning to make that happen is unrealistic for families that have much more on their plate.
Stay tuned for how you can help families in Dhodeni.
