Exciting movements abound in the heavens this month, starting on the south-western horizon where the Moon will rise into a Lunar Eclipse. That’s right! The Earth will pass between the Sun and the full moon on the evening of June 5th. However, those of us on the American continents will not be able to visually experience the event. The eclipse will be visible to Eastern Africa, South East Asia and Australia. The Moon, passing through Sagittarius, also happens to be square with Mars which brings impulsive and angry energy to the forefront of our relationships.
The strongest relationships in your life will not be in danger because of your reactions, but you will be aware of the relationships that will come to play a more significant role in your life after this lunar cycle. It’s no surprise that you may find it difficult to communicate your needs or concerns during this time. There's a lot going on. With Venus in retrograde, all communication is going to struggle when it comes to love and important feelings. Like we said last week, we encourage you to look closely at what you’re searching for in love and life. If you can find a peaceful way to approach difficult conversations it can turn fire to water and bring bountiful hope. If you disregard the power of this lunar energy, you may be putting yourself on a path to failure and pain—but you possess the tools to avoid this fate!
The Lunar Eclipse not only brings powerful energy into the fold of the cosmos, but also sheds light on the activities within your home. With the Sun and Moon opposite, you might gain more clarity to see the clash of your life at work versus at home. In a time when those divides have become blurred to accommodate restrictive experiences, this can be extremely valuable. Stepping back to gain a fresh perspective on your situation can always bring clarity and healing. Despite the communication difficulties caused by Venus in retrograde, this eclipse works to expunge negative energy and tendencies from your life, and marks the beginning of a period when you can release experiences that may have caused emotional despair or frustration.
Whether you experience this hostile energy coming from you or being directed at you, search for the option to take a step back and evaluate the situation. Try to be compassionate, both with yourself and those with fire in their hearts. Understand where the hostility is coming from, and remember that acting impulsively doesn’t bode well for further healing or for making change. Do everything you can to educate yourself and your peers on how we can grow and learn from our collective existence in this universe. Through all the chaotic energy in the cosmos, know that the stability of the moon cycle gives us support.
As we move forward with a season of retrogrades, try to remember to be patient with yourself and those around you. With the support of our loved ones we can hope to come out the other side of this lunar cycle with more empathy for those previously thought to oppose our views.
