Traditional Tibetan Prayer Wheel
$12.00 - $20.00
Tibetan prayer wheels (also referred to as Mani wheels by Tibetans) are devices for spreading spiritual blessings and well-being. In traditional prayer wheels, rolls of thin paper imprinted with many copies of a mantra (or prayer) are placed in the protective container and spun around and around. Larger decorative versions of the syllables of the mantra are also carved on the outside cover of the wheel. Prayer wheels are found all over Tibet and in areas influenced by Tibetan culture, and come in many shapes and styles.
Here are Mexicali, we offer hand-carved, standing-statue varieties of prayer wheels. They are beautifully painted with great care, and can be spun around and around as you chant your own prayer or mantra.
